at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design.
His first
book, Who Are You Anyway, was published in 2005, deals with questions
of
identity, and the ownership over the work of
art. Who are you anyway showcased in the "Fumetto 2006" Comics
Festival in Switzerland.
Seliktar's next project, collaboration with writer Ohad Tzofi,
took place in the imaginary town of Sea-Shadow. This collaboration,
entitled the Biographer series, included two books: A Chicken isn't
Worth Dieing for and The Teeth Collection of Father Erlich.
Seliktar
was one of the prominent contributors to the Israeli comics anthology "Blender".
He illustrates books for children, and publishes comics and illustrations
in most of Israel's daily newspapers, youth and children magazines,
cinema and television.
Gilad Seliktar is currently living in Israel and working on 2
books that will published in 2008:
Farm 54,
a graphic novel painted by Seliktar and based on short stories
written
by his sister, writer Gait Seliktar, will be published
in France (Editions çà et là) in the Spring
of 2008.
The daemon of Mongol a graphic novel written and illustrated by
seliktar will be published in Israel (the third ear).
